Projects

CoursePages

Many instructors either don’t have the time or don’t have the technical expertise to create websites to their courses. CoursePages is a framework that simplifies the process of creating a course website, by enabling instructors to easily structure their content, create navigation bars, course calendars, and more.

MATCHMAKERS

MATCHMAKERS is a web-based game that leverages human visual abilities to solve an NP-hard problem known as n-way matching—the process of identifying similar elements from multiple sets. The problem has practical importance in software engineering, yet current approaches either do not scale or do not guarantee high-quality matches. This project is run under the supervision of Prof. Marsha Chechik (UofT) and Prof. Julia Rubin (UBC).

DNF-webapp

DNF-webapp facilitates the exploration of drug networks inferred by a novel algorithm known as DNF, which uses basic drug properties to determine their similarity. This project is run under the supervision of Prof. Benjamin Haibe-Kains (UofT) and PhD candidate Nehme El-Hachem (University of Montreal).
